Dress: Featuring formal Prince Charlie (tuxedo-style) attire, semi-formal evening wear or casual with Jacobite shirt and leather sporran.
Experience: Trained under world’s top pipers including three years with Walter S. Rose (ex-Seaforth, founder of the Detroit Highlanders and later St. Andrews Pipe Band, Detroit), five years with John MacKenzie Goodenow (composer of Salute to the Isle of Iona and first North American to win the Silver Chanter), over six summers with John MacFadyen, and recently received instruction from Roddy MacLeod, MBE at the National Piping Centre in Glasgow. Recipient of the Institute of Piping Performance Certification Grade I competitor in the Midwest Pipe Band Association and The Pipers and Pipe Bands Society of Ontario. First wedding played at was in 1965 in Petoskey, Michigan followed by hundreds since then, with a similar number of funerals, numerous concerts with other types of bands and orchestras and numerous radio and television appearances. Official Highland Dance competition piper, listed with FUSTA. Full-time professional performance piper since 2005.
Event type: Weddings, Funerals, Parties, Burns Nights, St. Andrew’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, entertainment and other media performances, concerts with Symphony Orchestras, Ceilidh bands, Irish Traditional Music bands and even ‘bag rock’.
