Bryce did not take up playing the bagpipes until he turned 20 years of age but since then has hardly put them down. Initially taught with Maybole Pipe Band he still plays with them today when he is available.
After five years band experience he was offered the grand position of Resident Bagpiper at Culzean Castle Ayrshire, Scotland. In (1997) I became Resident Piper at the Station Hotel, Ayr, Scotland, and, through word of mouth enquiries and recommendations kept busy piping at Weddings, Burns Suppers and events where people require the sound of the Scottish highland bagpipes.
Since becoming self employed he now plays all over Scotland, England and continental Europe. He has now been the resident event piper at The Westin Turnberry Hotel and Golf courses. Over the past years I have played at over 500 weddings.
In 2008 I was nominated for a VOWS (Voted Outstanding Wedding Supplier) award in Scotland in the Music and Entertainers category, which speaks volumes as to my commitment, service, appearance and most importantly playing ability.
Bryce also plays the Scottish Small Pipe which is more suited to the indoor environment at the signing of the register etc, both sets of Pipes can be included for your event.
