Correct. But, given this is a funeral taking place next week and the fact that the client was happy to pay the fee the piper proposed I gave it him. Due to the nature of the circumstances with the funeral, the client wanted to confirm a piper as soon as possible aswell. Normally jobs would get emailed to people in that particular region though.

Thought the whole point was that pipers on a particular list were e-mailed the job so they could get the chance to volunteer for it?

Hi Iain,

I was on the phone to a piper as I was writing the post so he got first shout on it. He accepted and the client agreed so no email went out for this job.
