The sight of a bagpiper playing traditional highland tunes can help to uplift the spirit and touch the hearts of everyone involved during these challenging times!
We have some very experienced funeral pipers who are both professional and sensitive and can also help select the most appropriate tunes to be played at the funeral or crematorium.
There are many services a piper could provide at a funeral such as:
- Pipe the coffin from the chapel to the hearse
- Pipe the coffin from the hearse to the graveside
- Pipe the coffin as it is lowered into the grave
- Pipe as loved ones pay their respects
- Pipe the coffin from the hearse to the crematorium
- Pipe the coffin as it passes through the curtain
- Pipe at the end as people leave and pay their respects
Naturally this can be a very challenging time and so we aim to make this whole process as easy for you as possible. If you let me know whether it is a funeral or a crematorium we can make service suggestions along with a selection of appropriate tunes to be played.
