Experience: Trained under top pipers including two years with Pipe Major George Anderson of Morpeth who was trained by Pipe Major Donald Shaw Ramsay, and instruction from Roddy Macleod, MBE and Willie McCallum at Stirling Summer School.

Played at weddings since 1986 followed by many events since then, weddings, funerals, numerous concerts with other types of bands and radio appearances.

I have played on numerous occasions as a soloist providing music for highland dancers. playing hornpipes, reels, strathspeys and jigs. This includes tours of various European countries.

Dress: I wear full Black Watch military number 1 dress with a choice of both
Black Watch tartan and Royal Stewart tartan. I can also wear tropical number 1 dress if preferred or Prince Charlie jacket and lovat hose.

Experience: Having played the bagpipes for some thirty years, and with a
wealth of experience gained from my time as a piper with the 1st Battalion The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment), I’m proud to say that I have had the pleasure of playing the bagpipes for most of the current Royal Family and I’ve also been a guest at the White House where I played for George Bush senior. I have a wealth of experience playing at funerals, weddings and military mess functions.

Whatever the event, be it a wedding, funeral, party, Burn’s night celebration or gala dinner the bagpipes always add a touch of style and prestige; leaving your guests with lasting memories. With every detail tailor-made to your own requirements you can be assured of a professional and personal service. I can play traditional Scots and Irish music, favourite melodies or even requests.
